Safety Tips for Online Dating

  • Profiles that contain obscene, pornographic, abusive, violent or otherwise offensive photos or content

Avoid fraud and Scams
We encourage our members to help FYSSO fight fraud, scams, and inappropriate profiles. If you suspect a member is trying to scam you, we encourage you to stop the communication and report them immediately by sending and email to and referencing their profile. Always remember to use common sense when interacting with a stranger and look for the following most common scams;

  • A user tries to sell products or services to you online.
  • A user offers you a job opportunity or a way to make money.
  • A user asks you for money goods or any similar type of assistance.
  • A user claims love for you right away.
  • Meeting Offline
    You should always take precautions when meeting someone for the first time. Use the following:

  • Always meet in a public populated place

  • Tell a friend or family member when and where you will be going. You should make a point to check-in with your friend or family member during the date so that they know you’re safe.
